Let’s have fun learning together!
In the last lesson, we learned how to read あいうえお.
This time, we focused on how to write them step by step.
📚How the Hiragana Looks

In the previous lesson, we practiced the pronunciation of the Japanese vowels: あ (a), い (i), う (u), え (e), お (o).
Now, let’s move on to the main theme — writing hiragana.
Hiragana letters are curved and soft, which makes them look friendly. Most characters are also simple, usually 1 to 3 strokes.
📝Tips for Writing Hiragana Neatly

When writing hiragana, it helps to use guide lines. These lines make your characters neat and balanced.
- The vertical line keeps your letters straight.
- The horizontal line marks the middle, so your letters don’t go too high or too low.
Here are some useful tips:
- Begin and finish your strokes close to the guide lines.
- Try to keep each character about the same size.
By following these points, your hiragana will look cleaner and more consistent.
✏️How to Write あいうえお

1.Left short vertical line.
2.Right short vertical line.
🗒Small tips about a small flick (はね)

The small flick (はね) at the end of the first stroke in い helps the letter look balanced and smooth. Try a quick, light lift of the pen — not a sharp hook.
This flick also prepares your hand for the next stroke, making your writing flow more naturally.
You’ll see はね again in many other hiragana, so getting used to it now will make future practice easier and your writing more natural.
